Established in 2010, the unique and prestigious World Music & Independent Film Festival (WMIFF) is an IMDB-qualifying event held annually.
The festival attracts celebrities, media journalists, civic and community leaders, film crews and film enthusiasts from around the globe, as well as the DC metropolitan area (which includes Virginia and Maryland).
WMIFF was created to celebrate and provide a platform of achievements for all cinema artists. WMIFF festivities are open to all, featuring some of the most talented artists in both film and music. WMIFF is proud to showcase and recognize all independent artists worldwide.
WMIFF awardees and nominees have won or been nominated for Oscars, Emmy's, Golden Globes.
Two-time Golden Globe Nominee Steven Bauer (Scarface, 1983) holding awards for best lead actor and best actor in international short. Steven was also awarded for outstanding achievement in arts.
Best short film went to his talented director/producer, Yolanda Romsera.
